Our Applause - All Good Things!
We had a private car from our resort to the boat dock and then met Charkar in Soufriere.
She took us in her car past the volcano to the waterfall and mud bath. It was a great private experience and I was so glad we didn't have the crowd of people on a bus, it was just us!
We also went to a local restaurant for lunch near the botanical gardens.
We had a great time! I highly recommend Charkar and her awesome Treasure Tour business. She is very sweet and has a wonderful relaxing personality. I would recommend any of her tours! Don't miss out!
We booked from the UK after picking up Charkar's details from trip advisor.
The advice on what trips to was clear and the communication via email was exceptional. We did 2 separate trips a week apart.
Trip 1 - Volcano, mud baths, waterfall, botanical gardens and plantation.
Trip 2 - Superman falls, sugar beach, boat to Soufriere
Charkar and her driver Rodney were simply brilliant. Prompt, friendly, considerate and fun. Nothing was too much trouble and we stopped and a number of places on our travels eg a local church. Family photo's were taken by Charkar. I suffer from motion sickness and Rodney's driving was great.
Charkar's knowledge and passion for her island were 2nd to none and even my 6 year old listened and learnt about the beautiful island and Charkar never ran out of patience for some of the questions he asked.
We had chosen days where the cruise ships were not in and everywhere we went we were the only ones there it was like having the island to ourselves even at the mud baths and waterfalls.
Snacks and drinks were provided and we discovered plantain chips which we loved!! Also supplied a booster seat which was great.
Very much admired Charkar's commitment and dedication and it was also a pleasure to meet her brother who water taxied us from sugar beach to Soufriere via the bat cave with consideration to my husband who does not normally do boats!!
Cost was a fraction of the price of the resort offered trips and would have paid twice the price for the memories.
Do not hesitate to book with Charkar!!!!
I booked this tour before arriving at St. Lucia. Chakra is the best!! She emails and answers all your questions immediately! There were 4 of us in our party, 2 adults 2 teenage boys. We started out at the volcano where we took a mud bath and Chakra got us our own bucket of white mud that we put all over us. We went into a river that was 107 degrees to get the mud off us.
Afterwards we went on a water taxi and drove up the coast a little admiring all the beautiful views on our way to snorkeling. We had gone to Sugar Beach the day before, so we suggested to go to the Black Beach. We loved this beach. It was breathtaking. We saw a lot of fish, however the only negative was we got bit by invisible sea ants. but was still worth it. Next we stopped at a waterfall that was so refreshing, then drove to a restaurant to have lunch. Lunch was delicious. It was so fresh and really yummy. After lunch we went to visit the plantations to see how people lived hundreds of years ago, and to see how chocolate is made. There were such nice views as well and so much greenery and plush flowers. After the tour Chakra even made the driver stop at a store to get more plantain chips which my boys devoured the 2 bags she gave them. She was so informative and knowledgable, so sweet and did such a great job showing us St. Lucia. I would highly recommend her. She made our trip!
My girlfriend and I, along with 10 of my friends, took a cruise last week to beautiful St. Lucia. One of the most memorable days that we had was the tour that Charkar, and her assistant Courtney, took us on.
From a sailing voyage on a catamaran, to a mud bath in the hot springs of an active volcano, to one of the most delicious meals that I have ever eaten, cooked by Charkar's mother, this adventure was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
The day started out to be a disappointment when we learned that our cruise ship was departing an hour earlier than normal. This resulted in the captain of the catamaran informing us that it would be impossible for our group to take part in the activities for the day, because there would be no way for us to return to our cruise ship on time to board before it departed.
Charkar, being sensitive to our disappointment, rose to the occasion with an incredible amount of resourcefulness. She arranged for a van to pick us up early at the catamarans first stop. She then took us to the mudbath, and then to on a tour of a historical plantation. Afterwards she arranged lunch for our group of twelve, then provided us with some delicious local island beer and rum punch, all at her own expense. Amazingly, she arranged for a water taxi to bring us back to our ship along a beautiful coastline, complete with a cave full of bats and a snorkeling adventure.
I honestly don't know how Charkar and Courtney managed to save the day, but they did. What would have usually turned out to be a disappointing day turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation.
A huge THANK YOU to both of you girls for your Island knowledge and fun spirits.
I highly recommend anyone visiting St. Lucia to book an adventure with Treasure Tours.
We arranged this trip before we arrived.
Treasure tours got the business because they answered emails quickly and had a great trip rating. I always worry when you read such great trip reports, have they got a large family etc?? But I can confirm the day is brilliant from beginning to end and I'm not related!! The boat trip out is pleasant with soft drinks handed out freely, we were escorted by dolphins for some of the way which was thrilling to see. There isn't a lot of driving on the tour so you won't spend hours in a car. This means time at the attractions. The staff are knowledgable and have a great way with them, truly lovely people. The Pitons, the mud bath, the waterfall, the gardens are amazing and made better by the fact that you are walked past the big tours with there vast numbers and straight into the attractions like royalty. A special mention has to go to the lunch. It's local fair cooked by the mother of the tour owner and was simply delicious. In fact everyone went back for seconds, which speaks volumes. On the way back the 0 mins of snorkelling was brilliant and then out comes the rum punch and a party atmosphere magically happens with non dancers like me dancing around until all too soon you are back at port and on your way to your hotel.
Great value, great people, great attractions and well organised. Best day of our holiday!!!
I was hesitant - but glad I experienced the mud bath! Our tour guide Charkar did a great job navigating our group through the short tour of Soufriere and the drive in volcano. She encouraged and made sure we experienced all aspects of the bath, sulfur springs and showers. it really does rejuvenate your skin. Glad our friends talked me into it!
We spent the day touring a volcano, mud bath and the botanical gardens with Charkar. She was very friendly and informative at all three stops. We then had lunch at a local restaurant, Marie's Local Cuisine, which was delicious and very affordable. A great way to spend a day touring St Lucia.
We were able to book Treasure Tours very easily online and get ample information from emails and phone calls.

Ask for Charker, she's the best, very knowledgeable about the island. Had fun at the waterfalls and then off to an undescribeable mud bath. The mud bath is a must do in St. Lucia! Delicious chicken and grilled tuna for lunch. Chakar makes sure the catamaran ride gets you back to the ship in time with a little snorkeling on the way. Fun way to see the Piton Mountains, another must do in St. Lucia. Cruising with family and all 3 generations enjoyed this tour. Enjoying our banana ketchup and hot sauces!!! Thanks Chakar for making this such a fun day in St Lucia.
